The Challenge

Competing in a crowded global wellness market, iHerb needed creative that could cut through without relying on flashy gimmicks or heavy motion design. With over 50,000+ verified and trusted products, the challenge wasn’t a lack of choice — it was helping audiences make sense of it. The creative needed to feel human, aspirational, and easy to navigate.

The Creative

We focused on clean, static imagery showcasing real products in vibrant, colour-blocked grids. Each execution was clear, direct, and product-led — no unnecessary graphics or over-engineered hooks. Instead, we let the visual range and smart grouping do the work.

To simplify discovery, we organised products into “missions” — reflecting distinct customer mindsets and health goals:

  • Fitness & Performance
  • Skincare (seasonal: Summer focus)
  • Daily Beauty

This structure made a vast catalogue feel curated and personal, increasing relevance and encouraging larger basket sizes (AOV uplift) by showing complementary products within each mission.

Approach

Over two months, we ran a disciplined testing and iteration cycle — refining copy, layout, and product combinations based on performance insights.

We introduced emotionally resonant, lifestyle-driven copy to humanise the brand and soften its “clinical” perception. By balancing aspiration and accessibility, we positioned iHerb not just as a health provider, but as an enabler of everyday wellbeing.

The Results

💰 High 6 figure in revenue from < $30k spend

📈 13x Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)

🧠 Static creative consistently outperformed motion-heavy ads, proving that clarity and simplicity drive stronger engagement and conversion in the wellness space.

Key Takeaway

By combining emotional storytelling with structured, data-driven creative, we helped iHerb simplify choice, increase relevance, and grow efficiently — showing that in a complex market, simplicity scales.
